The Light

"Until you see The Light, keep walking"

The Pursuit of Knowledge

Ibn Taymiyyah’s Mamju ul Fatawa;

Willpower is the door, and knowledge—especially knowledge of Allah, His Names and Attributes, the Qur’an, and the Sunnah—is the key. Without the key, the door cannot be opened. Knowledge is superior to wealth, for wealth may vanish, but knowledge remains, guiding the soul to eternal felicity.

The scholar is more beneficial to the people than the wealthy, for the wealth of the rich may feed bodies, but the knowledge of the scholar nourishes hearts and saves souls. Knowledge protects against doubts and misguidance, while ignorance breeds error and destruction.

The Prophet ﷺ said: The superiority of the scholar over the worshipper is like the superiority of the moon over all the stars. Thus, the seeker of knowledge must strive with sincerity, patience, and humility, for wasting time is worse than death—death separates you from this world, but wasting time separates you from Allah.

Knowledge without application is like a tree without fruit, and action without knowledge is like a traveler without a map. Therefore, the path to Paradise is paved with knowledge and willpower, and whoever neglects them will be lost in darkness.”
